Introducing the My Friend Breath Main Character - Ash!
Meet Ash, the charismatic and caring main character of My Friend Breath 👋🏼
In this story Ash is purposefully not gendered to allow readers to identify with them however they choose.
👦 Boys may see themselves reflected in Ash's kindness.
👧Girls may see themselves reflected in Ash's compassion.
🧒And non-binary children may appreciate the freedom from stereotypes as they see themselves reflected in Ash's caring spirit.
By playing along with Ash throughout the story this sense of connection is further nurtured, as children learn how to change the way they’re feeling by changing how they are breathing 🌬
So that when they feel sad 😢, mad 😡, scared 😨, or any other overwhelming emotion, they can use this simple strategy to help self-calm 🙂
